Is it safe to feed my cat raw?
Yes it is! Cats have eaten raw for over 10,000 years so they've built up a strong system to handle pathogens. The number one tool cats have against bugs like Salmonella is their strong stomach acid with a pH of 1 (that's very acidic!). The more protein a cat gets the more stomach acid they produce which means more defense against nasty bugs.
How should my cat eat Raw Recipes?
For adult cats we recommend feeding 25 to 35 calories per day and for kittens 60 to 65 calories per pound of body weight per day. Click here for detailed instructions on each of our products
How do I transition my cat from kibble/canned to raw?
We recommend the slow transition where you gradually introduce more and more raw to their current diet until you've replaced it. Check this link for detailed instructions on transitioning
How do you make your Raw Recipes?
We grind the bones, organs and meat of our selected protein then mix it with shredded veggies and add our supplement mix to make it a complete meal.
My cat has kidney issues or another medical ailment, can I feed them Raw Recipes?
We recommend consulting with your vet first before changing the diet of your cat if they have medical problems. It's possible that your cat has specific diet needs and we don't want to interfere with that!
Shipping
How do you ship your Raw Recipes?
We use reusable insulated liners inside a box and ship with dry ice. The dry ice may have evaporated into gas by the time it arrived, however if there is some left do not touch it with your bare hands! Use a rag or glove to pick up the dry ice, it will be very cold.
When will I receive my package?
Any package containing a frozen item is shipped Monday-Wednesday only. We do this to avoid keeping the package stuck over the weekend to ensure the package remains cold.
Where do you ship to?
Little Lions is growing! We currently only ship our raw recipes to 7 states: Pennsylvania, New Jersey, Delaware, Maryland, New York, Connecticut, and Virginia. Stay connected via our email newsletter to see when your state gets added to the list!
How do I know my Raw Recipe is safe on arrival?
As long as the packs are cool to the touch they are safe to put in the fridge or freezer. Refreezing the packs is totally fine.
Subscription
How do your subscriptions work?
We offer subscriptions for certain products as well as our raw recipes. All subscriptions are delivered monthly and you can choose 3 or 6-month durations. Simply find the product, choose the duration, and check out!
I no longer want an item in my bundle, how do I remove it?
You can visit your customer portal through the email sent to you after you've placed your order. At this portal you can modify your order. This link will be available for seven days until it expires. If you need immediate help please contact roar@littlelionscatco.com
